Here we are, Nov 24th in Passau, Germany. We managed to make our connection in Munich while our suitcases didn't. We were able to get them the second day only after our cruise director threatened KLM (NorthWest Airlines equivalent in Europe) and called them incompetent and that they had no reason not to get them to us before we sailed. They made it with a half hour to spare. I sure like American toothpaste better than German toothpaste. We got some fuzzy socks and a T-shirt too. The razor was worthless according to dad. (Klm gave us a goodie bag of toiletries) We were really smart to pack a change of clothes in the carry on (thank-you Grandma and Grandpa Bunker for the good advice). I unfortunately didn't pack my makeup since I didn't want to pull all my liquids out every time we went through security.
Passau was beautiful and cold. They got their first snow the day we arrived. We had a tour of the city and this is one of the monuments we saw. Our ship was really nice. It was only half full which explains why we got an unpaid upgrade to an upper room with big windows. Food was marvelous and lots of it. Dad informed me that I wouldn't have to fix food or do dishes for 10 days at least. More info on trip to come in next installment.
FYI Santa checks this blog for any and all ideas for Christmas Presents. So far only Becca is on Santa's list. Mom

I love the picture! The buildings in the background are very unique. What interesting coloring as well. I am so glad that they got your bags there in time. I can't imagine what it would have been like had they not gotten there in time. Eins, Zwei, Drei
I'm glad you got your clothes! That would have been interesting... It's a bit crazy to see snow, though. :)
